No — we don't carry out the test itself. What we do is arrange it for you at an approved centre and handle all the repair work. That means one point of contact and a garage that knows your car, without the run-around of booking things yourself.

Advisories: fix them before they become failures

An advisory is something the tester has noticed that is not yet bad enough to fail, such as a tyre close to the limit or light corrosion. Advisories often turn into failures by the next test, so it is worth getting them looked at. Bring us your certificate and we will quote for putting them right.

Can I drive my car if it has failed its MOT?

Under DVSA rules you can usually only drive a car that has failed if its current certificate is still valid and no “dangerous” defects were listed. Without a valid one, you can only drive it to a pre-booked test or to have the failure repaired, and only if no dangerous defects were listed. If dangerous defects were listed, it must not be driven.
